日本には多くの蝶が生息しています（これまで320種類が報告され、そのうち250種が日本に定着）。また、島国という地理的な要因から、日本の固有種とされている蝶は18種類もあります。この「日本の蝶」はこのホームページのメインな部分となるもので、これまで日本国内で撮影してきた蝶たちの自然の中で生きる姿を供覧しています。なお、すべての写真は管理人自らが撮影したもので、著作権は管理人にあります。（ID HJP1320810001158）

In Japan, many species of butterflies inhabit the country (so far, 320 species have been reported, with 250 species established in Japan).
